An unforgettable night with a fully packed auditorium…

“Kanya” – 2026 July 7th Karachi
my dance production was staged for the third time last night in Karachi, Pakistan. Once again, the pride of Sri Lanka shone brightly on an international stage.

Our traditional dance forms, drumming, and my new choreographic creations were highly appreciated by a global audience, which is a great honor for all of us.

This performance, organized in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Consulate General, SriLankan Airlines, the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, and the Art Council of Karachi as part of the MICE Promotion program, was an outstanding success.

The excellence of our artists, the expressive beauty of the four forms of abhinaya on stage, and the strength of our ensemble performances all came together to create this achievement.

For a team that trains with dedication and consistency, this success is truly the result of hard work.

Special appreciation to Rasindu, Sapan, Kaushalya, Anjali, Eshani, Piumi, Sandupama, Lasidu, and Akila – the heroes of this journey.
This is how “Kanya” becomes a global brand.

Our sincere gratitude to Consul General Mr. Sanjeeva, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, Mrs. Malkanthi Welikala, and Mr. Ruwan, Head of SriLankan Airlines in Pakistan, for their invaluable support and commitment.

My appreciation also goes to my manager in Sri Lanka, Tharindu, and to Lakshitha for the dedicated training – both contributions were vital to this success.

During a recent period when I was hospitalized due to serious illness, I was strengthened by the support of Dilhani Amma, the couple Poornima and Chandana, Anju and Sapan, Malani, Dr. Sarath Gaminie de Silva, Dr. Chithramali, Dr. Cyril de Silva, and my beloved Devangi, Thanuga, and Manuga. I am deeply grateful to all of you.

Your love, care, and blessings gave me the strength to rise again.
